Today I had a bit of a scare. I pay for a hosted domain through Godaddy.com and I thought I could just install a version of MediaWiki to play with in my off time. I’ve been interested in wikis for a long time and figured since I don’t use this domain enough as is, I’ll actually try to do something creative with it and at the same time learn how the ins and outs work with a wiki.
Well, I go to install MediaWiki and Godaddy tells me I can’t because I’m only using PHP v.4 not 5.1. Crap! Don’t worry though, I did a quick search on Godaddy’s site and found out how to upgrade (for free!) to PHP 5.1. I’m cooking with fire now! 
I’ll let you know how my wiki is coming along and what I plan on doing with it. I really have no idea. I think it has huge potential where I work but I’ve got to go through 4 supervisors before anything gets approved. Oh well, maybe one day I’ll have my own company and I can make the rules.
